Erte Collection

In 1988 The Courvoisier SA Collection Erte was created. The Master of Art Deco, world-famous designer, Erte created the luscious shape of the decanter, and then conceived visual to represent the seven stages of the Courvoisier SA cognac making process. Each one of the decanters is filled with an exceptionally rare blend of the best Grande Champagne cognacs ~ some dating back to 1892 ~ the year of Ertes birth. The Enidit decanter, not part of the original collection was launched in 1995. Only 12,000 of each of the original decanters was ever released worldwide. To obtain them now you would have to look out for collections changing hands at the most prestigious auction houses worldwide....or join us tonight at The Diplomat. On the 21st of April 1990, the art world lost one of its most innovative and influential figures when, after a short illness, died at the age of 97 in Paris.
